All of my original artwork is just that, original,a one off, and hopefully it will appreciate in value, though I don't intend dying just yet, so please consider it a long term investment !

Materials used, are the very best that are available, the paints are light fast and guaranteed for 100 years in Museum conditions. It would be prudent to avoid hanging your new picture in direct sunlight, in my experience the mount will fade quite quickly. Watercolour paper is a natural product and as such is affected by heat and moisture, and a professional framer will ensure that it is framed using only one piece of tape at the top, this way the painting is allowed to expand and contract. Any initial cockling will settle after a few days in a new environment.
The professional artists quality paper I use is usually rough 140lb Bockingford Paper which I use as it enhances the subjects I love to paint and behaves well with my particular techniques.

All artwork is usually signed, either M.Stephenson,
Martin Stephenson or latterly Stevo
usually with the year I painted it.
With older pieces and sketches that were never intended for sale, these will be signed on the back of the frame board.
If you buy an original piece,you will receive a
Certificate of Authenticity, with your
